Oldest Cracker Barrel

“This flagship location quickly became a hit, offering home-style meals and a unique retail store featuring country-themed merchandise”

The first Cracker Barrel Old Country Store opened in 1969 in Lebanon, Tennessee, founded by Dan Evins as a way to provide travelers with a friendly, nostalgic dining experience that reflected Southern hospitality.

This flagship location quickly became a hit, offering home-style meals and a unique retail store featuring country-themed merchandise. As its popularity grew, a second location was also opened in Lebanon, solidifying the town as the birthplace of this now-iconic chain.

Today, both locations continue to serve as landmarks, the first is now an American Mexican style Restaurant and the 2nd serves as the oldest in use Cracker Barrel.
