The Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse is a small, cottage-style screw-pile lighthouse located about 40 yards offshore in Shallowbag Bay, near the town of Manteo, North Carolina. The current structure was completed and dedicated on September 25, 2004, alongside the George Washington Creef Boathouse.

This lighthouse is a replica of one that once stood at the southern end of Croatan Sound. The original Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse was constructed in the 1870s but was decommissioned and dismantled in the 1950s.

The replica is a visual landmark and an educational resource. Inside, it features maritime exhibits, including a historic Fresnel lens from the 1800s, on loan from the U.S. Coast Guard.

Though modest in size, the lighthouse represents an important piece of the Outer Banks’ navigational and maritime history.
