The Doe Covered Bridge, also known as the Elizabethton Covered Bridge, was constructed in 1882 by Sanford Gribble, a locally known bridge builder. It spans 134 feet over the Doe River in downtown Elizabethton, Tennessee, and remains one of the few 19th-century covered bridges still standing in the state.

Built to connect the growing town and support local transportation and trade, the bridge played a significant role in the development of Carter County. It features a traditional wooden truss design and has been maintained through multiple restoration efforts to preserve its structural integrity and historical character.

The bridge is closed to vehicular traffic but remains open to pedestrians. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to be a focal point of local heritage and preservation initiatives.
