About Jessie Canute
Jessie Canute is a Kentucky-based writer, photographer, educator, and lifelong collector of strange stories. With a camera usually somewhere nearby, she has spent years traveling across Kentucky photographing historic homes, cemeteries, battlefields, caves, bridges, abandoned places, and small towns while collecting the stories attached to them.
She approaches the paranormal with curiosity and a healthy amount of skepticism. She doesn’t need every story to be true to believe it’s worth telling, and sometimes the real history turns out to be stranger than the ghost story.
